Dr. Thomas Trautmann

Thomas Trautmann finished his doctorate studies at Prof. Volker Hoffmann's Chair for Sustainbility and Technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich (ETH) in July 2007. His research focused on investment decisions under uncertainty in the light of the  European Union Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading Scheme (EU ETS).

Thomas Trautmann holds a bachelor of science from Massey University (New Zealand) and a diploma in physics from the University of Münster (Germany). His diploma thesis in theoretical solid state physics was on the simulation of lattice dynamics, dielectric properties and structural instabilites of perowskites.

From 2003-2005 Thomas Trautmann worked as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, Inc. with a focus on strategic projects in the basic materials and high-tech industry. He re-joined McKinsey & Company after finishing his docorate studies.

Thomas Trautmann is a German citizen born and grown up in Hamburg.
