Dr. Georg Weinhofer

Georg Weinhofer began his doctorate studies at Prof. Volker Hoffmann’s Chair for Sustainability and Technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich (ETH) in June 2005.
Georg Weinhofer holds a bachelor and master diploma in mechanical engineering and business administration from Graz University of Technology, Austria, with a focus on energy and environmental technology. His diploma thesis in 'Analysis of Sealing-Costs in the Pulp- and Paper Industry' was done in cooperation with the Institute for Hydraulic Fluidmachinery at Graz University of Technology and various industry partners (UPM Kymmene, Mondi Business Paper and Zellstoff Pöls).
Furthermore he gained practical experience on assignments at AtkinsonKovenFeinberg Engineers (1998, 1999, 2001), New York, Energie AG (2003), Linz and Austrian Trade Commission (2004), Los Angeles.
In his disseration Georg Weinhofer investigated corporate strategies and behavior to mitigation and adaption to climate change.
