Philippe Thömmes stayed at Prof. Hoffmann's Group for Sustainability and Technology during the year 2015. In his Master's thesis, he focused on distributed multi-energy-hub systems. Hereby, he conducted a techno-economic analysis of new integrated forms of energy production and consumption on neighbourhood-scale.

Philippe holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Engineering (B. Sc Wi.-Ing.) from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). In this context, Philippe spent one academic semester at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in Spain. Currently, he is enrolled in the Master of Science program in Management & Technology (M. Sc TUM-BWL) at Technical University of Munich (TUM). During the fall semester 2015 he is going to study for one semester at the Columbia University in the City of New York.

Prior to joining SusTec, Philippe gained practical experience in internships at Energy Advisory PwC, The DOW Chemical Company assisting DOW’s European Energy Team, Noerr LLP Financial Advisory, and BMW Group.
