Niki Apostolopoulou

Niki

Niki has an MSc in the Integrated Building Systems program from ETH. Her thesis focused on optimal decarbonization strategies for existing buildings considering retrofitting, repurposing and the time value of carbon.

Before her MSc studies, Niki successfully obtained a BSc and MSc in Architectural Engineering and worked for 2 years on energy retrofit projects, developing smart design solutions using building physics and energy optimization tools.

Her design and engineering background, as well as her internship and work as a Sustainability consultant on Real Estate Net Zero Management at icccon AG (Amstein & Walthert AG) have sparked her interest to research further the decarbonization of assets and portfolios with a techno-economic perspective.

When she is not in front of a screen, Niki enjoys playing badminton, drawing or sailing the Mediterranean with friends.
