Mikel Liu

Mikel joined SusTec in July 2022 to write his master thesis with Georgios Mavromatidis and Arnau Aliana. His thesis focused on modelling the Swiss energy system that allows the analysis of different policy mixes and their contribution towards the decarbonization of the energy system.

He has a MSc in Management, Technology and Economics at ETH and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from DownloadKarlsruhe Institute of Technologyvertical_align_bottom. During his studies, Mikel has gained practical experience as a consulting intern at DownloadRoland Bergevertical_align_bottomr and as a strategy intern at the R&D department of DownloadAudi AGvertical_align_bottom. Furthermore, he spent a year in Beijing where he studied at DownloadTsinghua Universitvertical_align_bottomy while working as an intern at Allianz.

In his spare time, Mikel enjoys cooking as well as playing and watching soccer ever since he was a kid.
