Laura Beyeler

Laura was enrolled in the Sustainability Economics and Management M.A. at the University of Oldenburg, Germany. She joined SusTec in March 2019 to write her Master’s thesis on Circular Economy Policies with a focus on european EPR schemes. In her thesis, she conducts a comparative cross-country analysis of the European plastic packaging policy mix, analyzing different approaches in national waste management systems.

Laura holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Bern. She gained first professional experience while working as an intern in the campaign team of the WWF Switzerland in Zurich. She also set up the Zero Waste grocery store Atout Vrac in the city of Fribourg. She is passionate about sustainable and alternative ways of production, consumption and lifestyle.
