Julija Gergek

Julija Gergek joined Prof. Volker Hoffmann's Group for Sustainability and Technology in July 2018 as a PhD candidate. She completed her Master in Strategic Management at DownloadInnsbruck Universityvertical_align_bottom in 2018. During her studies, she also worked as a research assistant for the Chair of Corporate Sustainability at Innsbruck University. Her work involved examining aspects of stakeholder management and developing a better understanding of the antecedents of decoupling.

In her master thesis she explored the role of organisational learning and routines for firms´ pursuit of corporate sustainability. She developed a theoretical framework suggesting how routine balances can be used to assist organisations in dealing with conflicting stakeholder goals.

Julija completed her Bachelor in International Management at DownloadWarwick Universityvertical_align_bottom in 2013 and worked in consulting and finance industries since. She is passionate about contributing to corporate sustainability literature and assisting organisations in their sustainability development journey.
