SusTec kicks off project on co-designing policy-mixes and energy systems for decarbonization
A three-year project, titled “Co-designing optimal policy mixes and energy systems for decarbonization”, has been approved for funding by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
Reaching a net-zero energy system requires targeted policy interventions and effective energy system planning. To aid with the complex decisions in both domains, the project team, consisting of Arnau Aliana Guardia, Dr. Georgios Mavromatidis, Dr. Christof Knoeri, and Prof. Dr. Volker Hoffmann, will develop new quantitative methods that reflect the policy-technology interactions and enable the optimal co-design of policy mixes and energy systems towards decarbonization.
