SusTec welcomes Oliver Gross as new MSc Student

Oliver joined SusTec as a master student in April 2022 to write his thesis. In his research, he will analyse the barriers to implementation of negative emission technologies using the technology innovation systems (TIS) approach.

by Alison Maguire

Oliver is studying Management, Technology & Economics at ETH Zürich and has bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. Prior to starting his MTEC studies, Oliver worked for 6 years in the fashion industry. He was CEO of the Swiss start-up ROTAUF, which produces sustainable apparel for outdoor sports in Switzerland. Oliver is dedicated to transform business practices towards real sustainability. The lack of reasonable options for companies to offset inevitable CO2 emission, has awoken his interest in the economic system of negative emission technologies.
In his leisure time, Oliver can be found in the mountains enjoying the beauty of nature and preparing for the mountain guide training, he wants to start after finishing his master’s degree.

Welcome Oliver!
