SusTec student Johannes Wüllenweber receives SAEE Student Award 2021 for his Master Thesis

The prestigious Student Award of the Swiss Association for Energy Economics (SAEE) is granted once a year to the best theses and research papers on energy economics and policy.

Johannes conducted his Master’s Thesis at SusTec between March and August 2021 under the supervision of Dr. Alejandro Nuñez-Jimenez and Prof. Dr. Volker Hoffmann. He researched the interplay of economies of scale, learning processes and technology diffusion in reducing the future cost of electrolysis plants for producing renewable hydrogen. As part of the award, Johannes will have the opportunity to present his work at the International Association for Energy Economics European Conference in Athens, Greece, in September 2022.
