SusTec welcomes Martí Martínez de Morentin Cardoner as new MSc Student

Martí’s thesis will focus on methods to uncover near-optimal solutions from energy system optimization models and will be supervised by Georgios Mavromatidis.

Martí currently pursues the ETH MSc in Management, Technology and Economics and holds a BSc in Engineering Physics and a BSc in Industrial Engineering, both from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Martí is convinced that technological breakthroughs are an essential component of the green transition and has worked with many research institutions such as the European Space Agency, the Institute of Photonic Sciences and Harvard Medical School. During his Master's and his internship at Hitachi ABB Power Grids, he has specialised in energy systems and data analytics. In his spare time, Martí enjoys volleyball, board games, and, now that he discovered the beauty of the Alps, hiking and trail running.
