SusTec welcomes Sophie Führer as new MSc Student

Sophie joined Sustec in February 2021 to conduct her thesis on the transition of the furniture industry from a linear to a circular economy.

As part of the TACLE project, Sophie will evaluate the costs and environmental impacts attached to circular measures in the furniture industry in her thesis. She currently pursues an MSc in Sustainable Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and holds a BSc in International Business Administration. Sophie is passionate about the circular economy whereby her main interest lies in how to balance environmental and economic performance. Her practical experiences combine insights in applied sustainability at BASF and the Swedish solar energy start-up Alight and research experience at Fraunhofer Institute and the Institute for Ecological Economy Research. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys nature through long hikes and kite surfing.
