New SusTec seminar: Business Models for a Circular Economy

The Downloadseminarvertical_align_bottom leads the participants through the process of re-​thinking an existing product from a circular point of view. It consists of a mix of lectures, workshops, individual working sessions as well as cross-​disciplinary teamwork. The circular economy paradigm is increasingly gaining traction in industry, policy and academia and offers numerous options that can be translated into practice, e.g. in re-​designing, re-​using and re-​cycling. Along with these different “cycles” new business models arise.

During the seminar the participants evaluate different products for their potential in a circular economy by considering the products’ technical, economic and legal environments. They develop their knowledge about the products and about circular economy principles, solutions and business models in teams. The course ends with a pitching event, at which the teams will present their solutions and business ideas. It is offered by Catharina, Nicola, and Jakob.
