SusTec welcomes Simen Kjørstad as new MSc studen

Simen's master's thesis at SusTec aims to explore the frontiers of energy flexibility through Swiss business models and contribute to the PATHFNDR project.

Simen is a master's student in the Energy Science and Technology program at ETH. He is interested in how different innovative technologies can contribute to the energy transition, including economic and political aspects. He holds a BSc in renewable energy engineering from NTNU in Norway.

Currently, he is working on his master's thesis at SusTec. His work will focus on how different companies can incorporate new technologies that provide flexibility to the energy system and how business models can be designed to incorporate flexibility potential. The overview will focus on Switzerland and contribute to the PATHFNDR project.

When he’s not busy with his studies, Simen loves being outside. He enjoys hiking in the beautiful Swiss mountains and ski touring during winter. Simen is also really into sports. He likes playing football and beating friends in games of ping pong.
