Collaborative Pathways to Circularity: 2023 Circular Building UnConference Recap
The second Circular Building UnConference 2023 was a great success! On the 26th of October, the second edition of the Circular Building UnConference took place at Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich and welcomed more than 130 people to exchange innovative and collaborative approaches to transform the building industry towards circularity.
Our vision: "Together we make it!" On the 26th of October 2023, the Circular Building UnConference took place at Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich and welcomed more than 130 pioneers from business, research, and the public sector with a common vision. The program included project pitches funded by the DownloadCBI Booster, best practices such as "the Cradle" office building, keynote speeches, discussion rounds and matchmaking. Christof Knoeri (senior researcher at SusTec) opened the conference and provided an overview of the CBI Booster ecosystem. Sophie Führer (PhD candidate) moderated the programme and Lisa Lambert (senior project manager) together with the entire project team was responsible for the organisation of the conference. The Unconference was organized by DownloadSwitzerland Innovation Park Central as part of the CBI Booster, together with DownloadEmpa Nest, DownloadCircular Hub, DownloadHSLU, DownloadSIA and DownloadSwiss Recycling.
Under the roof of the Circular Building Industry Innovation Booster, we organise the Circular Building UnConference to provide the topic of circular economy in the construction industry its own stage. The UnConference is the annual highlight of the Innovation Booster platform. We are convinced that by bringing together innovation teams, researchers, strong companies, and important topic leaders, we can boost the circular economy with innovative solutions.
