Thomas Kasper

Thomas Kasper joined Prof. Volker Hoffmann’s Chair of Sustainability and Technology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich in September 2012. In his master thesis he investigated the potential of intelligent control for heating and cooling to improve residential energy efficiency.

Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, formerly University of Karlsruhe) and is now studying towards the Master of Science. He spent two academic quarters at the Economics Department of the University of California, San Diego.

Besides his studies he gained practical experience during his internships at Daimler (Sindelfingen, Germany) and PanGas (Dagmersellen, Switzerland). He worked one year as a research assistant at the Chair of Energy Economics at KIT in the research area of renewable energies and energy efficiency.

Thomas holds a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation.
