Martin Schütz

Martin Schütz conducted his master's thesis at Prof. Volker Hoffmann's Chair of Sustainability and Technology at ETH Zurich in 2010.
Martin studied both Physics and Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (formerly University of Karlsruhe). He joined the graduate program at Michigan State University (MSU) in 2008 and holds an MSc in Physics from MSU.
Martin gained practical experience when working with Daimler, BMW and Continental.
During his studies, he received several scholarships including a German National Academic Foundation Scholarship (since 2004) and a Fulbright Fellowship (2008 – 2009) sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
Martin investigates climate-relevant policies and national institutional conditions and how their interaction triggers corporate technological change in the power sector.
