Jillian Hughes

Jillian Hughes conducted her master's thesis the at Chair of Sustainability and Technology at ETH Zurich 2013-2014, after previously completing a semester thesis there earlier in the year. In her Master’s thesis, she is investigating the sources of radical and incremental innovation in the solar photovoltaic industry.
Jillian is a Master’s student in the Energy Science and Technology program at ETH Zurich. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Energy and Environment, from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. During her studies, Jillian worked for a year as an intern at the ABB Corporate Research Centre in Baden-Dättwil simulating large-scale power transformers. She currently holds the Excellence Scholarship and Opportunity Award from ETH Zurich.
